Jazz Air
Jazz Air, also known as Jazz Aviation LP, is a Canadian regional airline based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It operates as a subsidiary of Chorus Aviation Inc. and is one of the largest regional airlines in Canada. Jazz Air provides regional and charter flight services on behalf of Air Canada, under the Air Canada Express brand.
The airline was established in 2001 and originally operated as Air Canada Regional Inc. In 2002, it changed its name to Jazz Air to reflect a rebranding initiative. Jazz Air operates a fleet of regional aircraft, primarily consisting of Bombardier Dash 8 turboprops and smaller regional jets like the Bombardier CRJ series.
As a regional airline, Jazz Air plays a crucial role in connecting smaller communities in Canada to larger airports and hubs. It operates flights to various destinations within Canada and also offers some international flights to select destinations in the United States.
