LAN Airlines
LAN Airlines, formerly known as LAN Chile, was an airline based in Santiago, Chile. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, LAN Airlines no longer exists as a separate entity. It underwent a merger with TAM Airlines from Brazil in 2012, and the two carriers formed a new company called LATAM Airlines Group.
LATAM Airlines Group became the largest airline conglomerate in Latin America and one of the largest in the world. It operated flights to various domestic and international destinations, serving both passenger and cargo markets. The group had a significant presence in South America, with hubs in Santiago, Lima, and Sao Paulo.
