Mistral Air
Mistral Air is an Italian cargo and charter airline based in Rome, Italy. The airline was founded in 1981 and initially operated as a general aviation company. However, in 2002, it shifted its focus to cargo operations and became a subsidiary of the Poste Italiane Group, the Italian postal service.
Mistral Air primarily operates cargo flights on behalf of various organizations, including Poste Italiane, which uses the airline for postal transportation services. The airline's fleet consists of a variety of aircraft, such as Boeing 737s and ATR 72s, which are suitable for both cargo and passenger operations.
Apart from cargo services, Mistral Air also operates charter flights for various purposes, including religious pilgrimages, tourist groups, and sports teams. The airline has been involved in transporting pilgrims to holy sites such as Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje.
Mistral Air has its main operating base at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO). Over the years, the airline has expanded its operations and established a presence in other Italian airports as well.
