Saratov Airlines
Saratov Airlines, also known as Saratov Airlines Joint Stock Company, was a Russian regional airline based in Saratov, Russia. It operated domestic and international flights primarily within Russia and to neighboring countries. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Saratov Airlines ceased operations in May 2018.
On February 11, 2018, Saratov Airlines Flight 703, a scheduled domestic flight from Moscow to Orsk, crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in the loss of all 71 people on board. The crash investigation revealed that the accident was caused by the incorrect installation of the aircraft's speed sensors. Following the crash and subsequent investigations, Saratov Airlines had its operator's certificate suspended and later revoked by the Russian aviation authorities.
