TAM Linhas Aéreas → LATAM Airlines Brasil (2025)
TAM Linhas Aéreas now operates under the LATAM Airlines Brasil brand. Use LATAM’s official tools for check-in, My Trips, flight status and baggage. Online/automatic check-in is available on many routes, with boarding passes typically issued ~48 hours before departure. See live flight boards for São Paulo (GRU/CGH) and Rio (GIG/SDU) below.
Quick official links
TAM is the historical brand. Today, check-in and customer service are handled by LATAM Airlines Brasil and the LATAM Group. Use the official LATAM links above for any trip actions.
Operational status — TAM / LATAM Brasil
- Brand transition: TAM rebranded to LATAM (2016 onward). You will see LATAM on aircraft, websites and apps.
- Identifiers (Brazil operator): IATA JJ, ICAO TAM; legal name TAM Linhas Aéreas S.A.
- Check-in: via LATAM only (web or app). Many routes offer automatic check-in with boarding pass issued ~48h before departure.
What to do (TAM → LATAM)
- Open LATAM Check-in and retrieve your trip using order number / reservation code (or sign in to My Trips).
- If automatic check-in applies to your route, your boarding pass will appear ~48 hours before departure (web or app).
- Verify carry-on and checked bag limits (see rules below). Pay extras online if needed.
- Use your airport’s live boards for terminal/gate updates (GRU, GIG, CGH, SDU, BSB links below).
The brand on your ticket/app is LATAM. Airport signage and counters will say LATAM, not TAM.

- LATAM app supports check-in, boarding pass, seats, bags, upgrades.
- Some flights may show LA/LA◯◯◯◯ numbers; the Brazil operator uses code JJ internally.
