Trans States Airlines
Trans States Airlines was a regional airline based in Bridgeton, Missouri, United States. It was a subsidiary of Trans States Holdings and operated flights under the United Express brand. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Trans States Airlines ceased operations on April 1, 2020.
The decision to shut down Trans States Airlines was announced in February 2020, citing a number of factors including a pilot shortage and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the airline industry. The airline had originally planned to wind down operations by the end of 2020, but due to the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, the shutdown was accelerated.
